Comhairle Nan Eilean Siar

This weeks course was over in Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis for Comhairle Nan Eilean Siar (Stornoway Council). This course was a five day Handling People with Special Needs Education Masterclass, which is designed to train staff who work with children and young adults in safe moving and handling techniques and practice. This then allows them to train the other staff employed by their organisation in the safe moving and handling of children.

Attending this weeks course we had Janet MacLeod, Sineag Blane, Louise Morrison, Calum MacLeod, Christina Stewart, Michael Harrop and Alexandra Mackay. I am pleased to say that this group worked very hard throughout the full week and all ended the course achieving a pass with merit, well done!

The trainer was fantastic, so knowledgeable in all aspects of the course. Great personality too, kept us all fully engaged all week!” – Alexandra MacKay, PTLS
