Cartrefi Cymru

Jan spent the day on the 28th January 2020 with the team of trainers from Cartrefi Cymru delivering a one day Handling People with Special Needs V2 (adults) refresher evaluation workshop. It was a great day spent with the four Key Trainers, Eirlys Davies, Morwenna Jones, Hilary Jones and Ross Coward covering a number of areas including practical techniques and problem solving.

Greenmead School

21st January 2020

Today Jackie visited Greenmead School in Southfields, London to deliver a one day Handling People with Special Needs Education refresher evaluation workshop. We had two of the Key Trainers from the school attending, Denise Hunt and Tamarah Fevrier, they were joined by Serena Anderson from The Livity School, Stephanie Luck from Cherry Garden School, Sarah Escott from Ivel Valley School and Ali Al-Rawi from Hounslow London Borough Council.

It was a productive and very busy day refreshing the Key Trainers in a number of areas including the theory behind safe moving and handling, safe techniques to use with small children and how to deal with a falling child.


7th January 2020

To start the New Year Centaur delivered a one day Handling People with Special Needs Education refresher evaluation workshop in Durham. This course was for two staff within Durham County Council, Linda Davison and Kathryn Bulman, who are responsible for moving and handling training at the respite centre where they work. They were joined by Steph Cargill, a teacher from The Education Village in Darlington and Carly Duffield, also a teacher from Cleaswell Hill School in Choppington, Northumberland.
