Aberdeen City Council

This week Maureen was made to feel very welcome by the two Key Trainers based within Orchard Brae School in Aberdeen. This course was a one day Handling People with Special Needs Education refresher evaluation workshop which was held on the 14th September 2018. This is a newly built school which has excellent facilities and made for a very interesting and busy training day.

Attending the course we had Susan McGill and Caroline Stirton both from the school. Maureen wanted to pass on a big thank you to Susan for organising everything in preparation for the course and to Caroline for all her help on the day.

3rd – 7th September 2018

This week’s course was held at St Barbara’s Primary School in Glasgow and had five participants attending for the full week, Lorna Sneddon and Adele Flynn both from North Lanarkshire Council and they were joined by Gillian MacNaughton from Campsie View School in East Dunbarton, Iain Pearson from The Shetland Islands Council and Ann Findlay from St Andrew’s School in Aberdeenshire.

It was a very busy and productive week and the trainer commented that they were a great group of participants who worked well together and were more than happy to have a bit of fun with the theory units.

Humberston Park School

On the 3rd September 2018 Centaur trainer Jackie visited Humberston Park School in Grimsby to deliver a one day Handling People with Special Needs refresher evaluation workshop. The school has a team of four Key Trainers, Tracy Hodgkinson, Mickayla Holmes-Wells, James Barker and Kiri Sykes and I am pleased to say that all four finished the one day course achieving a pass with merit, well done.
