Westfield School, Herefordshire

This weeks course was held at Westfield School in Leominster, Herefordshire on the 23rd – 27th July 2018. It was a Handling People with Special Needs Education five day train the trainer course and we had three participants attending, Nikki Deacon and Kim Evans both from Westfield School and they were joined by Jennifer Gunn from Shetland Islands Council.

Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council Refresher Day – 20th July 2018

Today’s course was a one day Handling People with Special Needs Education refresher evaluation workshop and was held at Afon Taf High School in Merthyr Tydfil. We had three participants for this course, Lisa Beattie, Alison Devereux and Jackie Hall all from the council. It was a very busy day spent reviewing various practical techniques and areas of theory knowledge and Janet said they were a very motivated group who worked hard and all achieved a pass with merit at the end of the course.

18th July 2018

Today Jan was at Ancliffe Residential Home in Wigan to deliver a one day Load Management Theory & Client Handling Techniques refresher evaluation workshop. Attending the course was Joy Hogarth, Karen Alford, Nichola Brennan and Christine Hiley all from Croftwood Care and they were joined by Jeff Sutton from Pro Care Mobility.

Green Park School, Wolverhampton

On the 17th July 2018 Janet was with the Key Trainers at Green Park School in Wolverhampton. This school choose to attend a one day face to face refresher workshop every year rather than complete the paper based evaluation questionnaires. Attending this year we had Angela Esson, Rachael Middleton, Doreeta Norman and Dawn Rhodes. Janet was made to feel very welcome and said it was a brilliant and productive day as she anticipated.

Load Management Theory & Client Handling Techniques Masterclass Course

This week, 9th – 11th July 2018,  Jan was at Aberdeenshire County Council to train six new Key Trainers on the Load Management Theory & Client Handling Techniques Masterclass course. There were two staff attending from Aberdeenshire County Council, Tracy Morrison and Paula Munro and they were joined by Angela Parkinson and David Bruce from The Nuffield Hospital in Glasgow, Maureen Currie from Falkirk Council and Martin Donaldson from Trust Housing Association.




Fiveways School, Somerset

This week Janet spent the day, 9th July 2018, at Fiveways School in Yeovil, Somerset. She worked with the two Key Trainer based within the school, Heather Pitts and Leigh O’Neill to refresher their knowledge and practical skills in the Handling People with Special Needs Education Masterclass and I am pleased to say that both ended the day passing the course and were awarded a Merit for their work.

West Berkshire Council

This weeks course was a five day Handling People with Special Needs Education Train the Trainer Masterclass course held at Kennet School on behalf of staff from West Berkshire Council from the 2nd – 6th July 2018. It was a busy week with all six of the participants working really hard and coming together very quickly as a team.
