Kirkleatham Hall School 23rd – 27th April 18

This week Jackie delivered a one on one Handling People with Special Needs Education train the trainer Masterclass course at Kirkleatham Hall School in Redcar. Jackie said that it was a great week spent working with  a lovely participant who took all the training on board and passed the course with merit.

Woodlands Secondary School, Luton

Today’s course was held at Woodlands Secondary School in Luton on the 26th April 2018. Maureen spent the day at the school to refresher the knowledge of the two Key Trainers based there, Rachel Morris and Vicki Moss.

It was a great day with Maureen been made to feel very welcome by the school and great preparation by the two participants before her arrival.

This weeks course was held at Belong’s new facilities in Newcastle Under Lyme and was a three day Load Management Theory & Client Handling Techniques Train the Trainer Masterclass Course. The trainer praised the facilities offered at this new village and as it wasn’t open to clients yet they course participants had a chance to use all the new equipment. Attending the course was Maria Beighton, Catherine Jakuta, Rachael Gray, Sharon Bull, Angela Corscadden, Sharron Hancock and Julie Kidd.

Chadsgrove School – 25th April 2018

This week’s course was a one day Handling People with Special Needs Education refresher evaluation workshop held at Chadsgrove School in Worcester. Attending the course was Emma Gilbert, Glenda Kelleher, Emma Hudson, Elizabeth Morgan and Sue Parkes all from Chadsgrove School. Janet commented on how committed and knowledgeable the group were and the superb support which they have in the school.

Kings Mill Special School

Maureen spent the day on the 23rd April 2018, at Kings Mill Special School in Driffield to deliver a one day Handling People with Special Needs Education refresher course to four Key Trainers. It was a busy day spent covered many areas including handling techniques for small children, hoisting, training styles and new ideas for the delivery of the theory units. Attending the course we had Elaine Hildred and Amanda Hopkinson both from Kings Mill School, they were joined by Tracy Walker and Michelle Stone both from East Riding of Yorkshire Council.

Handling People with Special Needs Refresher Workshop

On the 18th April 2018 Janet Hunt spent the day at Crownbridge Special School in Cwmbran. Attending this Handling People with Special Needs Education refresher evaluation workshop was Samara Cummings, Marian Farrelly and Donna Hewitt all from Crownbridge Special School and they were joined by Katie Bayliss from ICCM Limited in Telford. It was a busy day covering areas identified by the participants as items they would like to include in the refresher and they all worked really well together ending the day all achieving a pass.

Keech Hospice Care, Bedfordshire

This weeks course was held at Keech Hospice Care in Luton, Bedfordshire from the 9th – 11th April. It was a busy three days for the three participants attending with all achieving a pass. Jan commented that they were a clearly motivated and experienced group and enjoyed sharing their experiences with each other which benefited everyone.

Attending the course we had Emma Dougherty and Kim Burns both from Keech Hospice Care and they were joined by Sue Keean from NHS Borders.
