Belong

Jan Crawford spent three days at Belong in Warrington from the 18th – 20th December 2017. She was there to train four new Load Management Theory & Client Handling Techniques Key Trainers to join the already established team of Key Trainers based within Belong. Attending the course we had Claire Culshaw, Laura Evans, Carol Norman and Andrew Shield.

Ash Tress School One Day Refresher Course – 12th December 2017

Today’s course was held at Ash Trees School in Billingham and was a one day Handling People with Special Needs Education refresher evaluation workshop. Attending the course we had Karen Husband and Melanie Playfor from the host school, they were joined by Sarah Phillips and Anita Langham from The Oaks School in County Durham and Wendy Wharton and Michael Slimmings both from Catcote Academy in Hartlepool.

Warrington & Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Today’s course was held in the theatre department at Warrington Hospital and was a one day Perioperative Manual Handling & Patient Positioning refresher evaluation workshop. It was a great day with all the practical elements been covered in the theatre setting which allowed the Key Trainers to practice and refresher their knowledge in the relevant setting.

Handling People with Special Needs Education Refresher Workshop

On the 8th December Janet spent the day at Regency High School in Worcester to deliver an annual one day Handling People with Special Needs Education refresher workshop to Key Trainers from the local schools. Attending the day we had Angela Broadbent, Sara Corfield, Suzanne Nottingham and Sara-Jane Corbishley all from Regency High School and they were joined by Sue Richards and Joanne Wright from Fort Royal School and Kelly Pearce from Vale of Evesham School. It was a productive day with all seven of the participants achieving a pass with merit, well done to all that attended.

Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

This weeks course was held on the 4th & 5th December and was a two day Handling for Porters Masterclass Course.

Attending the course we had Matthew McGinlay, Nathan Treagus, Christian Mepham and Adam Hancock. It was a great two days with all four of the participants ending the course achieving a pass. Jan was made to feel very important by been given her very own reserved parking space!

The Avenue School

Janet returned to the Avenue School in Reading this week to deliver their annual one day Handling People with Special Needs refresher evaluation workshop. The Key Trainers based within this school choose to attend a one day face to face refresher course every year with Centaur rather than complete the six monthly paper based assessments to maintain their manual handling accreditation. Attending the course this year we had Kelly Boahene and Iram Illahi who both passed the day with flying colours as always.
