Handling People with Special Needs Education Train the Trainer Masterclass Course

Janet Hunt has spent this week at Newbridge School in Oldham to train five new Key Trainers on the Handling People with Special Needs Education Masterclass Course. Attending the course we had Rachael Corlett and Laura Hayes both from Newbridge School, they were joined by Karen Towse from Kings Mill Special School in East Yorkshire, Laura Elliott from Moray Council and Steven Hanley from Northern Health & Social Care Trust in Antrim, Northern Ireland. It was a very busy week but all five participants finished the course achieving a pass.

Villa Real School – 11th July 2017

This week’s course was held at Villa Real School in Consett, County Durham on the 11th July 2017. It was a busy but productive day with many areas of knowledge refreshed including small children techniques, risk assessments and working with mini bus transport. Attending the course we had Michelle Rutherford, Suzanne Blackburn and Fiona Pattison all from Villa Real School, they were joined by Jane Pescod from Northumberland, Tyne & Wear NHS Trust and Michelle Wright from Cleaswell Hill School in Northumberland.

Refresher Evaluation Workshop

On the 6th July 2017 Maureen spent the day at Kingsley Special Academy in Kettering to deliver a one day Handling People with Special Needs Education refresher evaluation workshop to two Key Trainers. Attending the course and pictured below we had Sara Cullingford-Agnew from Kingsley Special Academy and she was joined by Katelyn Langley from Greenmead School in Wandsworth.

Special Needs Refresher Course

Jackie traveled across to  Sandfield Park School in Liverpool on the 4th July 2017. Attending the course was Sheila Symons and Roseanne Hutchinson both from Delamere School in Trafford, they were joined by Linda Poustie who traveled all the way from Mid Lothian Council and Kevin Gauden, Lynne Brown and Angela Taylor who are all Key Trainers within the host school.

Sandfield Park School 4 July 2017

St Hugh’s National Training School

On the 4th July 2017 Janet Hunt spent the day at St Hugh’s National Teaching School in Scunthorpe. She was there to deliver a one day Handling People with Special Needs Education refresher workshop to the four Key Trainers based within the school. Attending the course we had Samantha Dancer, Bridget Coy, David Robinson and Michelle Johns. It was a busy day with many areas covered including risk assessment and the updating of moving and handling policy.
