Falkirk Council

Janet Hunt spent the week from the 12th till the 16th December 2016 in Grangemouth, Falkirk delivering a five day Handling People with Special Needs Education Masterclass to seven new Key Trainers for the council. These seven Key Trainers will now join the team of Key Trainers already trained within the council. It was a great week with all seven of the participants achieving a pass at the end of the course and three even achieved a merit.

Attending the course and in the pictures above we had, Lorraine McLuckie and Kelly McWilliams from Maddiston Primary School, Jane Nixon, Norma Broadley, Isobel Kirkwood and Deborah Douglas from Kinnaird Primary School and Mary Kesson from Carrongrange School.

It was a great week with eight staff attending the course from  the Isle of Lewis, Barra, Uist and Harris. Great feedback from the participants, “The absolute best thing was the fact that it was clear that Janet had been at the coal face, she KNEW what it is like out there” from Michaela Smith.

You may notice in the photo above that Michaela is wearing alot of makeup, we are reliably informed that this is not her normal style and she was actually taking part in the Christmas pantomime on the Island straight after the course.

Annual Refresher Course

Janet Hunt was back with the Key Trainers from Fort Royal School and Regency High School in Worcester on the 6th December to deliver their annual Handling People with Special Needs Education refresher evaluation workshop. It was a very busy day spent with these four very experienced trainers, covering many different issues and practical skills. Attending the course we had Angela Broadbent, Suzanne Nottingham and Sara Corfield from Regency High School and they were joined by Sue Richards from Fort Royal School.
