One Day Refresher Evaluation Workshop – 15th July 2016

Janet Hunt was at High Furlong School in Blackpool today to deliver a one day Handling People with Special Needs Education refresher evaluation workshop to three Key Trainers. Attending the course we had Carol Bithell and Debra Moss both from High Furlong School and they were joined by Sarah McEwen from Blackburn & Darwen Councils Children’s Services. Janet said it was a “very positive day spent working with the trainers who are now demonstrating excellent skills, assessments and problem solving skills”. The three Key Trainers are pictured below with one our new training dolls.

Load Management Theory & Client Handling Techniques Refresher Workshop

Janet Brewer traveled back up to Glasgow on the 13th July 2016 to deliver a one day Load Management Theory & Client Handling Techniques refresher workshop to three key trainers from the area. The course was held at Emcare Solutions in Glasgow, using their fantastic training facilities.

Green Park School

Janet Hunt made her yearly trip to Green Park School in Bilston, Wolverhampton on the 13th July to spend the day with the Key Trainers based in the school and refresher their knowledge on the Handling People with Special Needs Education training resource. This school choose to have one of our Centaur trainers visit them every year rather than complete the six monthly paper based assessments. Janet commented on just how much work the Key Trainers has done since her last visit and said that she is very proud of this group of Key Trainers and the support which is offered from the senior management at the school.

The five Key Trainers who attended the course were Angela Esson, Doreeta Norman, Rachael Middleton, Dawn Rhodes and Sally Porter, all five of the Key Trainers passed the day with a merit.

Nuffield Health Train the Trainer Course

From the 11th – 13th July 2016 we ran a three day Load Management Theory & Client Handling Techniques Masterclass Course at the Nuffield Health Woking Hospital. This course had five participants, Debbie Cooper, Kat Martin and Kate Ruddick all from the Woking Nuffield Hospital and they were joined by Brigid Molloy and Diana Jackson both from The Nuffield Health Hospital Guildford. It was a very busy week and all the participants finished the course achieving a pass.

Handling People with Special Needs Masterclass Course

Janet Brewer spent the week from the 4th – 8th July at Birkett House School in Wigston, Leicester training five new Handling People with Special Needs Education Key Trainers. Attending the course was Zara Groves and Graham Brown from Birkett House School, they were joined by Kim Booth from Forest Way School, Nicole Smith from Gateway College and Alison Nicholson from St Anne’s School in Welton, East Yorkshire.

Handling People with Special Needs Education Refresher Workshop

 

Janet Hunt spent the day on the 6th July 2016, at St Michael’s C of E High School in Sandwell to deliver a one day Handling People with Special Needs Education refresher workshop to six Key Trainers. It was a very busy day with many areas covered and all the Key Trainers ended the day achieving a pass with merit for the course.

Attending the course was Deborah Worley and Patricia Owen from St Michael’s High School, Sue Barnes from St Nicholas School, Bernadette Keenan and Linda Whitaker from Crowdys Hill School and Michael Arscott from Brays School.

Norwood Refresher Day

On the 4th July 2016 Jan Crawford traveled across to Norwood in Crowthorne, Berkshire to deliver a one day Handling People with Special Needs refresher day to three key trainers. It was a very busy day which was spent concentrating on the areas requested by the Key Trainers and Jan commented at how welcome she was made to feel.

Sunshine House School

This week, 27th June – 1st July 2016, Janet Hunt traveled to RNIB Sunshine House School in Middlesex to train four new Handling People with Special Needs Education Key Trainers. It was a very busy week and Janet commented on the group been a joy to teach and a super school to be in. Attending the course was Lorna Glendinning, Shriti Thompson and Oluwaseun Daramola all from Sunshine House School, they were joined by Laura Reilly from Dycourts School in Essex.
