The Richmond Fellowship Scotland Refresher Course

This week Jan Crawford traveled up to Emcare Solutions in Glasgow to spend the day, 22nd February 2016, delivering a one day Handling People with Special Needs Adults refresher evaluation workshop to some of the Key Trainers based within The Richmond Fellowship Scotland. Jan will be returning later in the year to deliver the second of these courses to cover the other trainers. Attending the course there was Val McMillan, Karen Thomson, Gillian Bruce, Craig Dryburgh, Jackie Warren, Alice McInally, Lynda O’Malley and James Thomson. They all work very hard throughout the day and demonstrated a high level of theory and practical skills. Jan said that they were a lively and energetic group with a good mix of skills and knowledge.

The Brook School, Tottenham

Janet Hunt spent the 8th – 12th February at The Brook School in Tottenham, London training six new Handling People with Special Needs Education Key Trainers. Attending the course was Suzanne Cushway and Beatriz Miranda Bermejo from The Brook School, Alejandra Pascual-Jackson and Sukina Campos from The Vale and Shirley Parker and Mark Hutton both from Lindon Bennett School. The six participants worked really well together during the week with all achieving a pass and can be seen looking very proud with their certificates of accreditation in the photo’s below.

London Borough of Ealing Council One Day Refresher Course

On the 10th February 2016 Jan traveled to Acton in London to deliver a one day Load Management Theory & Client Handling Techniques refresher evaluation workshop to a group of Key Trainers. Attending the course on the day was Tina McCarthy and Theodora Alexander both from Ealing London Borough Council, Elizabeth McLeary from Outward Housing, Simon Borley from Nuffield Health Hospital in Cambridge and Susanne Lee from Management & Social Care Training in Berkshire.

Watermill School, Stoke on Trent

Janet Hunt spent this week, 1st – 5th February 2016, at Watermill School in Stoke on Trent delivering a Handling People with Special Needs masterclass course to three new trainers. It was a fantastic week with all three participants doing very well and all achieving a pass with merit at the end of the course. Attending we had Donna Dodd and Ashley Kelsall both from Watermill School and joining them was Natalie Rogers from St Benedict’s Catholic Academy in Derby.

Comhairle Nan Eilean Siar Course

Janet Brewer made the short trip this week, 2nd – 4th February 2016, from the Isle of Lewis to the Isle of South Uist to deliver the final Load Management Theory & Client Handing Techniques Masterclass course for Comhairle Nan Eilean Siar. It was a very productive three days with all the attendees achieving a pass at the end of the course.

This weeks participants were Elizabeth Tinney, Catherine Macdougall, Donna Macleod, Mary Matheson, Ann Marie Lindsay and Jacqueline Macleod.
