Warrington & Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

The course of the week this time is a Perioperative Manual Handling and Patient Positioning course which was held from the 24th – 26th June 2015 at Warrington Hospital and the trainer was Janet Brewer. This course is for staff that work within a theatres environment and it prepares them to train others in theatre specific manual handling techniques.

The Avenue School

The Avenue School held their annual one day refresher course on the 26th June 2015 and Janet Hunt was the trainer as requested by the school. Janet had a good day which she said was a “planned military operation” and spent time working with the three Key Trainers and using problem solving to help with some of the task they had.

Chadsgrove School 19th June 2015

Janet Hunt was in Bromsgrove today to deliver a one day Handling People with Special Needs Education Refresher Course to the Key Trainers based at Chadsgrove School, Jackie Millington and Emma Gilbert. Joining them was a Key Trainer from The Commonweal School in Swindon, Emma Waters. The day was spent looking at new equipment and demonstrating new techniques to help both school solve problems when transferring.

Load Management Theory & Client Handling Techniques Train the Trainer Course

This weeks course of the week was for Care in Hand in Pentlepoir. Jan Crawford spent three days with them from the 15th June – 17th June 2015 and during this time trained five new Key Trainers on the Load Management Theory & Client Handling Techniques course. Jan commented on how welcome she was made to feel by this lovely group who were all very lively and there were lots of discussions.

Falkirk Council Refresher Workshop

Janet Brewer has spent the day, 16th June 2015, in Falkirk with our longstanding clients, Falkirk Council. She has delivered a bespoke one day refresher course for them which incorporated both the Handling People with Special Needs and the Load Management Theory & Client Handling Techniques training course.

Handling People with Special Needs refresher course

St Annes School 15 June 15

Today’s refresher course was held at St Anne’s School in Welton, East Yorkshire. Attending the course was Michael Pearce, Peter Yorke and Anne Wright all from the host school along with Jane Ellis from Oakfield Park School, Elaine Hildred and Mandy Hopkinson both from Kings Mill School. The day was spent problem solving and practicing techniques and looking at new equipment. Brilliant feedback received ” No improvements needed – excellent trainer!”

 

Train the Trainer Masterclass

Janet Brewer has spent the week, 8th – 12th June 2015, in Loughborough at Asmount School training two new Key Trainers on the Handling People with Special Needs Education course.

St Hugh’s

Today, 11th June 2015, Janet Hunt has spent the day at St Hugh’s Communication and Interaction Specialist College in Scunthorpe. She was there to host a one day Handling People with Special Needs Education refresher evaluation workshop for the five Key Trainers based in the College.

Attending the course was Bridget Coy, Samantha Dancer, Michelle Johns, David Robinson and Melanie Pine. The day was spent refreshing the Key Trainers on their practical and theory skills and all achieved a pass.

 

South Gloucester Council Refresher Day

Janet Hunt was in Gloucestershire on the 5th June 2015 to refresher five Key Trainers. Attending the course we had Eileen Everson and Lisa Jakes from Emersons Green Primary School, Lydia Fenton from Brisham Green Secondary School, Kerry Purnell and Natalie Perrett from New Siblands School.

John Jamieson School

Janet Hunt spent today, 1st June 2015, at John Jamieson School in Leeds with three Key Trainers updating them on the Handling People with Special Needs Education training course. A productive day was had by all three Key Trainers with all achieving a pass. Here they are looking proud with their new certificates of accreditation.
